Heron House

San Pedro, Ambergris Caye / South of Town

Set high, with verandas running the full length of the east and south walls, Heron House gives you a perfect spot for viewing birds, iguanas, and an occasional crocodile in the lake. At night, you might see fireflies or a pack of raccoons slipping through the yard below. Heron House is located a quarter mile south of San Pedro town on a small lagoon/lake in the middle of the island. It is a five minute walk to beautiful white sand beaches to the east or a five minute walk in the opposite direction to the lagoon on the west side of the island. You can easily be picked up at a dock on the beach for snorkeling the reef or mainland trips. It is easy to bicycle or catch a taxi into town, or we can arrange for your rental of a golf cart.

Heron House is a one bedroom house for the nature lover. The kitchen, dining and living room combine in an open space with two sets of French doors and windows all opening out to the surrounding coconut trees, palms, mangrove, flowering trees, and lake. The décor of the house showcases local craftsmanship and art. The cabinets and majority of the furniture were made on the island and are Caribbean style. The verandas have chairs, a hammock, and wooden swing for enjoying the view.

The bedroom has a French door out to the veranda, a king-size bed, an AC, a large desk and a 27 in. flat screen t.v. and dvd player on the wall, and many windows. The house has wireless internet connection.

Enjoy bathing in the large bathroom, which has a glass block shower and raised tub. If you need an extra bed, there is plenty of room; we can put a futon in the living room.

High Season $1,250/week

Rates and Policies

• Rates are in US dollars and do not include a 9% hotel tax.
• 4 night minimum stay on all bookings. 7 night minimum during Peak Season.

Deposit Policy: We require a 50% payment of total rental to secure a reservation. The balance will be due 30 days before arrival. Payment in full is due at time of booking if within 30 days prior to arrival date. We accept Visa and MasterCard only.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to arrival entitled to 80% refund. Cancellations made 31 to 60 days prior entitled to 50% refund. No refunds on cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival. No refunds for no-shows or unused portions of accommodations. There will be no refunds due to airline delays, strikes, political unrest or acts of nature, including hurricanes. Travel insurance is recommended.
